The Journal & Conquests

Eleven tabs that remember everything thou hast done — and everything still left to do.

Overview

The Journal is thy character's memory: quests, military missions, conquests, orbs, treasures, tunnels, demons and lifetime records, all in one window. Open it with F10 or L, or from the Journal icon on the menus bar. No more paper notes taped to the monitor.

Throughout the Journal, 119 authored location descriptions appear as tooltips — hover an orb stand, a treasure or an ancient shrine and the Journal tells thee where in the world it hides, in words rather than coordinates.

The eleven tabs

Tab What it tracks
Quests Every quest with its status, giver and area, real rewards and a region filter. Staged payouts and "full experience from level N" are spelled out, repeatable quests are chipped as such, and clicking an entry re-opens a repeatable quest.
Missions Thy current military mission in the governor's own wording with a live count of what is left, the true reward including mercenary pay, thy advisor's reserved favour and recommendation points, and thy Military Record.
Ruby The twelve items of Ruby's collection, plus the weapon bonus.
RDs Thy random-dungeon shrine progress through level 200 — see the Random Dungeons page for what awaits in each tier.
Herbalist Every harvest spot thou hast found, sorted by mushroom, flower and berry, with the real ingredient names, ripeness countdowns and favourites thou canst pin as an on-screen widget.
Conquests The great campaigns of the realm — detailed below.
Orbs Every orb stand thou hast used, with the stand's level requirement shown beside its name, ready stands listed first and respawn countdowns for the rest.
Treasures Treasures found and outstanding, including whether the sewer treasure is ready.
Tunnels All 191 tunnel levels (10 through 200) in one colour-coded grid, completed levels included even above thine own, thy current and highest level, and how many runs remain on the current one.
Demons All 56 named demons, including the eight Hell Demon Lords, with thy kills recorded.
Stats Lifetime counters and personal records: PvP and arena, nomad dice and tribe, Exkordon standing, imperial bank, unique kills and more.

Conquests

The Conquests tab gathers the realm's long campaigns — the endeavours that span many sessions — and shows how far thou hast come in each:

Conquest Tracks
Rodney's Warped World thy level of 21, points toward the next, and the bonus stones — found and still waiting.
Ice Army every cave mission with its tries, the boss stage, and the camp upgrades.
Ancient Knowledge thy AK value, books read of 63, and every ancient shrine thou hast awakened.
Bone Tower each level, its extras, and the bonus runes found of 9.
Fire Underground stations found of 29 and the boss stage, once the story is far enough along.
Rats thy rat points, lifetime kills, and progress to the next bonus tier.
Jobbington Mr. Jones' job points, the active job's kills and its item.
Trials eight trials: the five labyrinths, the werewolf, the Exkordon library and the Sunken Tower's chests and summit.

Spoilers and options

  • Journal spoilers (Options → Gameplay, off by default) — riddle answers, such as the Governor's Question in the Ruby tab, stay hidden until thou choosest to reveal them.
  • Journal exp caps (on by default) — shows experience caps and decay on quest rewards, such as the shrinking payout of repeated quests.
  • Widgets — small companions to the Journal can live on thy screen: a mission tracker, the sewer-treasure timer, herbalist favourites with ripe countdowns, the game clock and a live-quest banner. Toggle them from the widgets bar or the UI options.

Live quests: when a Live Quest master schedules an event, the announcement reaches every area — the live-quest widget pulses with a countdown while one is planned and glows while one runs.

Tips

  • The Quests tab's region filter is the fastest way to answer "what is left for me around here?" before leaving an area.
  • Hover quest rewards — the tooltips spell out staged payouts and from which level a quest pays its full experience.
  • Pin thy favourite harvest spots in the Herbalist tab and their ripeness follows thee on screen.
  • Check the Orbs tab before an orb run: ready stands sort first, so thou seest at a glance where to go.
